Why can't I socialize? It's become a problem in my relationship?

how old are you?? this is common when your younger (under 18) I actually have a minor social anxiety issue. It's hard for me to be comfortable around family, my boyfriends family, hard to be confident in talking to people, hard to make eye contact, never wanted to go to parties thinking it'll turn out horribly. I was only on medication for a short period of time. The medicine made me slightly more talkative, very smily, and more confident. You can change these things about yourself without meds if thats ur issue. i'm 22 now and i am just a more smily person at work, with everyone, it's not always about saying the perfect thing, but at least being yourself and holding a conversation with someone. i also did a lot of drugs, x, acid, etc. which made me more open to different people. you learn everyone is the same, we all want the same feelings. Just be yourself and be more comfortable with yourself. Honestly, I don't know if this girl is right for you. My boyfriend knew my problems and would help me out if i wanted help. he didnt exactly understand my problems but gave me time, he woudlnt give up cuz he's 'bored' i never get bored with the one i want to be with. This girl might not be a good match for you. Don't you dare think your not good enough for her. Everyone has their own things... you aren't well with socialization, and she may not do well with being personal with one person and not get bored. I coudlnt stand someone like that personally, what happens when ur living together and u grow up and you dont have friends around constantly cuz u got a job and a morgage and all u wannna do is come home a relax with ur lady? i'm getting carried away lol sorry. and hey, in no way did i suggest you do have porblems, thats just my story- i hope it helped
