Dark Knight Question...confused about what happened at the end?

almost near the end when joker got caught by gordon...and harvey wwas in the truck and got escorted to a police car....so now joker is in jaill...then all of a sudden joker is in the interrogation room with gordon and batman and there asking him "where is harvey" didnt harvey just get in the police car? hwo did joker capture harvey when was in jail?
